Our Parish

St. Isaac the Syrian Orthodox Church is a developing Orthodox Christian parish which will be under the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR). Though we are not yet fully established, we are encouraged to grow and build upon the foundation of the Orthodox tradition.

Our Faith

We belong to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, preserving the fullness of the Orthodox faith as received from the Holy Apostles. Strengthened by the teachings of the Holy Fathers and nurtured by the liturgical life of the Church, we strive to grow in repentance, humility, and love for God and our neighbor.

Our Mission

Inspired by St. Isaac's vision of mercy and stillness, our mission is to cultivate a place of peace and renewal where all may encounter Christ. We aim to build a community rooted in prayer, hospitality, and service, one that reflects the life of the Kingdom of God here and now. As our parish takes shape, we invite your prayers and participation as we labor with God's help to establish a steadfast witness of the Orthodox faith in Charlottesville, Virginia.
